Founded

Officially founded on October 16, 1983, Brookhill Wesleyan Church conducted its first services in the home of Dewey and Fern Gunnoe. Brookhill was born out of a hunger for righteousness. The original charter members determined that Brookhill should be God's lighthouse, a place where people could find God and a haven of rest for the family of God.

First Building

The first building the church occupied was the old abandoned Brookhill School, built in 1914 and lovingly restored some 70 years later in 1984...less than 6 months after the Charter founding of the Church in 1983. The first service in the old Brookhill School building was held on April 15, 1984, and worship services continued there until June 6, 1999.The following Sunday, a new sanctuary was dedicated to the glory of God and the fulfillment of the vision that God had given the church. The vision, prayers, and commitment of that original handful of charter members have been blessed by God to grow into a vibrant and growing body of believers.

Expanding Campus

While the original Brookhill School building continues to be used to this day, the campus has grown significantly to accommodate the needs of a growing and dedicated body of church members who trust in the Lord and who reach out to the neighborhood, the community and around the world every day.
